What are safety radar sensors?
Safety radars from Inxpect can dynamically set detection and warning zones in addition to detecting operator access or presence in hazardous locations.
Unlike laser scanners, radar security is completely insensitive to dust, grit, sparks, temperature differences, etc. The Inxpect radar system is suitable for use in PLd (EN-ISO 1384-1:2015) and SIL 2(EN 62061:2021) applications.

S101A smart sensor for a safe radar system
The S101A smart sensors are easily connected to the (Fieldbus) controller and configured via the supplied software.
The S101A has a target speed of 1.6m/s. It also has a minimum start-up/reboot time of 10 seconds. The S101A is suitable for walk-in detection and person detection.
The radar-based safety sensor is insensitive to dust, grit, moisture, sparks or temperature differences, making it ideal for outdoor setups or harsh industrial conditions.

S201A-W dynamic sensor for a safe radar system
The S201A-W radar sensor has an advanced detection field.
The user can choose to use a symmetrical detection field (with symmetrical angles to the central axis of the sensor), an asymmetrical detection field (with asymmetrical angles to the central axis of the sensor) or a corridor detection field (with cut-off sides depending on the application).
The dynamic S201A-W sensor allows detection of people from 0.2m, making this safety sensor also usable in industry. The S201A radar has a target speed of 2m/s. It also has a minimum start-up/reboot time of 4 seconds.

S201A-WL dynamic sensor for a safe radarsystem
The Inxpect S201A-WL radar sensor provides users with the option to adjust the Radar Cross-Section (RCS) themselves.
This allows the device to be configured either for human-safety detection or for collision detection with another object. The customised target-detection settings constitute a safety feature capable of identifying the presence of one or more objects with specific RCS values.
The S201A-WL radar sensor is equipped with an advanced detection field. Users may select a symmetrical detection field (with symmetrical angles relative to the sensor’s central axis), an asymmetrical detection field (with asymmetrical angles relative to the central axis), or a corridor-type detection field (with trimmed lateral borders depending on the application).
The S201A-WL offers a target speed of 4 m/s and features a restart time of four seconds.

S202A-MV radar sensor for presence sensing
The S202A-MV is a sensor from Inxpect that is specially curated for Presence Sensing. The radar sensor is easy in use as the configuration process only requires three parameters, the width, length and height of the area that needs to be secured. The field of view of the sensor is a 3d rectangle, that can be modified to your needs, with a field of view up to 48 m ³ (Installation height from 250 cm to 300 cm (from reference plane), width from -200 cm to +200 cm (min 50 cm)).
The S202A-MV sensor complies with EN ISO 10218-2 and is classified as IP67. The radar-based safety sensor is perfect for outdoor installations or challenging industrial settings because it is insensitive to dust, grit, moisture, sparks, and temperature changes.

S202A-MS dynamic sensor for a safe radarsystem
The radar safety sensor S202A-MS is designed to serve as an access detection device, with a safeguarding function. Access control can be carried out easily and immediately in many applications using this radar-based safety sensor. The sensor only needs two parameters to be set up, making it easily configurable. Determine the height and the length of the field and you are good to go (Installation height from 100 cm to 250 cm (from reference plane), width: -5cm, + 5cm (fixed) and max length: up to 4m).
The S202A-MV sensor is categorised as IP67 and conforms with EN ISO 10218-2. Due to its insensitivity to dust, grit, moisture, sparks, and temperature fluctuations, the radar-based safety sensor is ideal for outdoor installations or demanding industrial environments.

S203A-W dynamic sensor for a safe radarsystem
The S203A-W has an advanced FOV with 12° vertical angle coverage, making it ideal for industrial environments with small spaces.
The S203A-W also has an advanced detection field, allowing the user to choose from 3 different fields. A symmetrical detection field (with symmetrical angles to the central axis of the sensor), an asymmetrical detection field (with asymmetrical angles to the central axis of the sensor) or a corridor detection field (with cut-off sides depending on the application).
The S203A-W target speed is 2m/s. With a restart time of 4 seconds.

S203A-WL dynamic sensor for a safe radarsystem
The Inxpect S203-WL has an advanced FOV with 12° vertical angle coverage and longer range than the S203-W. With 9m range, the S203-WL radar sensor is ideal for industrial environments with confined spaces.
In addition, the S203A-WL is the most suitable sensor for autonomously guided vehicles (AGVs) due to its vertical angle coverage of only 12° (instead of 20° for other sensors).
Also, the S203-WL radar sensor has an advanced detection field, which allows the user to choose from 3 different fields. A symmetrical detection field (with symmetrical angles to the central axis of the sensor), an asymmetrical detection field (with asymmetrical angles to the central axis of the sensor) or a corridor detection field (with cut-off sides depending on the application).
The target speed of the S203A-WL is 4m/s. The radar sensor has a restart time of 4 seconds.
